Islander faces indecent assault trial 28/6/08
A Lewis man accused of an indecent assault at the town's Nurses’ Home faces trial next month.
Matthew John Hunter maintained his plea of not guilty when he appeared in Stornoway Sheriff Court yesterday.
The 33-year-old of 10B Steinish intends to argue a special defence of consent and will have senior counsel to defend him at his trial.
He denies a breach of the peace in November last year by conducting himself in a disorderly manner, entering a room at Laxdale Court uninvited and removing bedclothes from a bed occupied by a woman.
He also pleaded not guilty to indecently assaulting a female in another room.
