Temporary island ban for assault  offence             21/7/08

An Aberdeen resident has been banned from the Western Isles after he appeared in court on Monday.

Angus Macmillan of 328 Morrison Drive, Aberdeen, was ordered to leave on the lunchtime ferry and not to return until his case is called again.
in the town's Cearn's area on Saturday.

He grabbed his victim  by his arms and injured him with a head-butt. He also admitted smashing a pane of glass.

Sherrif Gordon Fleetwood deferred sentence to August for background reports and told Macmillan to catch the next ferry out of town.
The 23-year-old is originally from Lewis but is working in Aberdeen. He appeared from custody at Stornoway Sheriff Court..
