Stornoway man fined in court 23/7/08
David Cherrie of 9 Cearn Hiort was fined £300 today at Stornoway Sheriff Court after he admitted a charge of breach of the peace.
The 31-year-old accepted that last night (Tues) he acted in a disorderly manner, swore, knocked on windows and placed the occupants of a house in a state of fear and alarm.
The incident occurred around 11.50 pm on Tuesday night when he became angry after being refused access to a house in the town area.
Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood was told that he had fallen “off the wagon” and taken too much alcohol.
